There are two kinds of news apps - there are the apps of the various news organizations, with the benefits of a trusted news source, but offer only a single source. And than there are personalized magazines that select news stories from various sources. Although they seem to deliver what you want, you will never know what you are missing.
Challenge
Basch Interactive decided to create a lab product that integrates the concept of a multi-source news magazine that does not require customization, with a traditional news design and all the new and exciting capabilities that a tablet offers the user.
Solution
The result is The Pelican – RSS based news app that constantly gathers the most interesting news stories from the best sources and presents them on your iPad in a gorgeous print-like format.
